Dance that heals.

Community that holds.

Missy Project creates accessible, affirming movement experiences for Black and Brown women, girls, and families. No training required. No perfect body needed. Just you and all your body has to offer.

What We Believe

We believe your body already knows what it needs.

We just create space for you to listen.

Listen and learn, here.

Missy Project is a dance company rooted in healing, community, and cultural celebration. We bring together trained dancers and first-timers across New York City to co-create choreography that honors their bodies, stories, and lived experiences.

Founded on the Choreographic Healing Framework—a method that blends structured dance training with trauma-informed practice and improvisation—we don't teach routines. We create together.
